Wow. If it weren't for the fact that this was written in '55, I'd swear it was one of the better pieces of satire produced by the folks over at The Onion. I'm a strong supporter of the idea of roles and gifts that run along gender lines, and of the idea that a wife should work to make her husband's life easier (with the same responsibility falling to husbands for their wives, too). But yeesh.
